Vincent Puleo
Currently the Town Clerk of the Town of Smithtown, Vinny Puleo is a life long resident of Nesconset. He and his wife Beverly have three sons and five grandchildren. .
A small business and property owner within the Town of Smithtown for over 34 years, he has devoted his adult life to participation in numerous civic and community service activities throughout the Town of Smithtown.
He has been a member of the Nesconset Fire Department for over 37 years during which time he has served as both Chief and Assistant Chief. He is past President of the Smithtown Fire Chiefs’ Council as well as a member for the past 24 years. In addition, for the past 18 years, he has been elected three consecutive terms to the Board of Fire Commissioners, which is responsible for the administration and operations of the Nesconset Fire District
For 24 years he has been a member of the Rotary, initially in the Smithtown luncheon club and in Nesconset, where he completed 2 terms as President. He is now a member of the Smithtown Sun-Rise breakfast club. He has received the Rotary Paul Harris award in 1995, 2005 and 2008.
He was honored by the Suffolk Boy Scouts as Man of the Year in 1990 and is an active member of the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce and serves on their board of directors.
